Great player from a great generation in the MLB. I can still remember him and Cal Ripken getting honored at the all-star game in 2001. Really feel bad for him, dip is disgusting but its a way of life for ball players. The article says that Gwynn switched to a "safe"smokeless tobacco. However, the cancer in his mouth returned recently. He goes in for surgery today to remove the cancerous tumor from his mouth. Best of luck to you Tony, hope you get back to coaching soon at SDSU.
